Inviah Provider Privacy Policy & Supplemental Terms
Effective Date: 2026-01-01
InviaCare, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Inviah", "we", "us", "our"), provides this specialized Privacy Policy for healthcare providers, doctors, and medical professionals (collectively, "Providers" or "you") using the Inviah mobile applications and websites (the "Websites").
This policy comprehensively discloses the collection, usage, and protection of data accessed through your device permissions as required by the Google Play and Apple App Store User Data Policies.
1. DATA COLLECTION AND USAGE DISCLOSURE
A. Location Data (Background, Precise, and Coarse)
To facilitate efficient medical services and patient transparency, the Inviah app accesses your device's location services.
Background Tracking: We collect precise location data even when the app is closed or not in use during your scheduled consultation windows and your professional commute.
Purpose: This data is used specifically to:
- Calculate Real-Time ETAs: To provide patients with accurate arrival times based on your current location and traffic.
- Automated Notifications: To alert patients via the Inviah platform when you have begun your commute or have arrived at their location.
- Service Verification: To verify the commencement and duration of professional consultations for billing and safety purposes.
B. Notifications and Communication
The app requires permission to send you push notifications.
Usage: We use this to send you real-time updates regarding new patient bookings, changes to consultation schedules, and critical system alerts. We utilize foreground services and wake locks to ensure that mission-critical notifications and location updates are processed reliably, even if the device is in a power-saving state.
C. Network and Connectivity
The app requires internet access to sync data between your device and our secure servers. This includes the transmission of location telemetry, patient interaction logs, and credential verification.
D. Health and Professional Data
In the course of providing Inviah Services, we process "Health-related" and professional information:
- Patient Interaction Logs: Information regarding the types of consultations provided.
- Consultation Metadata: Timestamps and professional notes associated with patient encounters.
- Provider Credentials: Licensing information and professional certifications.
Purpose: This data is used to manage the provider-patient relationship and ensure regulatory compliance.
E. Advertising ID
We may access the Google Advertising ID for internal analytics to improve app performance and for future service-related marketing efforts.
2. DATA RETENTION POLICY
Inviah retains the data collected for as long as your Provider account remains active.
- Location History: Precise location logs used for ETAs are typically purged or anonymized after 90 days.
- Professional & Health Records: Certain professional interaction data and consultation logs are retained for seven (7) years to comply with medical record-keeping regulations and legal obligations.
3. DATA DELETION AND USER RIGHTS
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data.
Requesting Deletion: You may request account deletion by navigating to "Account Settings" > "Delete Account" in the app, or by emailing [email protected].
Process: Upon a valid request, data is deleted from active databases within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain for regulatory or insurance purposes.
4. CONTROL AND CONSENT
Permissions are requested at the time of first use. You may revoke location or notification permissions at any time via your device's system settings. Please note that revoking "Background Location" will disable automated patient updates and ETA features.
5. LEGAL DISCLAIMERS
Inviah is a platform facilitator and is not a medical services provider. Providers are independent contractors. Providers must maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA or applicable regional laws. Inviah is not liable for medical advice or treatment provided by the Providers.
App Store & Play Store Privacy Summary:
